Day 1 -
28.12 ARRIVAL DAY

Arrival at Kajaani airport, transfer to Hotel Kalevala, appr. 1 hour. Welcoming drink and dinner in the restaurant

Day 2 -
29.12 DAY FOR LEISURE
|
After breakfast get-together with your New Year host; a few words about the program, optional activities etc. Introducing the New Year team of the hotel , outdoor activities; enjoy the snow-fun, tobogganing, kick-sledding. Light lunch. Afternoon is free for optional activities. Evening sauna and dinner.

Day 3 -
30.12. DAY FOR HUSKIES, HORSE-SLEIGH AND SNOW MOBILING
|
After breakfast we’ll enjoy the taste of a horse-sleigh ride, short husky dog sleigh ride, reindeer ride and a taster snowmobile sleigh drive. Hot juice will be served by an open fire. Light lunch. In the afternoon we’ll make New Year decorations with a guide, optional activities are also available. Evening sauna and dinner. “Midnight” sledding competition at the toboggan run; diploma for everyone.

Day 4 -
31.12. NEW YEARS EVE
|
Breakfast. This is a free morning for optional activities, resting… Light lunch is served in our winter garden, please wear your thermal clothes. In the afternoon Extra program: Fairy tale Christmas tour in the Christmas and his elves at Santa’s Office. Enjoy a Christmassy walk along a forest trail in a beautiful and tranquil land of snow, unspoilt panoramas of pine trees. The trail is full of surprises and lit by ice candles and open fires.. In Santa’s workshop elves are making and gift wrapping Christmas presents. We have the possibility to do Christmas decorations and learn how to make ginger breads - and taste them too, of course. In the Forest Lodge you’ll enjoy hot drinks and hear more Christmas stories from elves. Finally, see the children’s eyes sparkle with delight and excitement, when they meet Santa Claus. Evening sauna. Tincasting by the fireplace in the lobby, ”Ms Fortune-teller” will tell your love life for next year… New Year Gala Dinner. Santa Claus will visit us during the dinner. Later, just before the midnight, moving to the winter garden for the countdown and fireworks. Ice bar. The party then continues inside in the bar with dancing until the early hours.

Day 5 -
1.1. NEW YEAR 2008-2009
|
Breakfast. Morning for resting, optional activities. Light lunch. Evening sauna. New Years Concert in the Kuhmo Arts Centre, bus transfer. Dinner. Evening continues by an open campfire where we’ll meet a magical Shaman. Coffee/tea/juice will be served. Dancing and midnight-karaoke in the restaurant .

Day 6 -
2.1. DAY FOR RELAXING
|
Breakfast. This day is a free day for optional activities, shopping, realxing..... Light lunch...Evening sauna...Dinner and folklore program of the traditional Helka group (local group of boys and gils, performing traditional dances, songs, also the guests can join in)
